Everyday Gratitude

We believe that small changes can bring about significant life changes.  What if we embraced “thanksgiving” as a lifestyle, celebrated in words and actions every day, instead of a one-day-a-year splurge of food, family and football?  What might that look like…

Rising a little bit early each day to journal, read the Bible and enjoy a devotional, remembering to give thanks.

Taking time to enjoy a healthy breakfast and engage with our loved ones, remembering that our time together is precious.

Choosing to be tolerant and gracious throughout the day when faced with aggravating circumstances like traffic or challenging people.

To always be mindful that we’re setting an example to our friends or family, whether good or bad, in how we respond to situations.  Let that example be positive, inspirational and powerful!

Carving out digital-free zones, at the dinner table, restaurant or coffee shop to be fully present with those we’re spending time with.

Take a moment to give thanks before each meal, in thanks for our loved ones and in gratitude for the hands that prepared the meal.

And when we lay our heads down at night, remember to close out the day in prayer and gratitude for the blessings of a life filled with faith, family and friends.

We are thankful for you, our friends and followers, and this new venture we call our Freely Give movement and community!   What other suggestions might you have to help others embrace a 24/7 life of thanksgiving…
